I have such fond memories of Elizabeth. We were at Bedales together although I left when I was 14. It only takes a bit of kindness to never be forgotten x x

I worked with Elizabeth from 2005-2016, mostly on the "Down Your Drink" trial. We were making up how to do on-line trials as we went along, and it was both a real challenge and very rewarding. Elizabeth was a fantastic collaborator, warm and witty, and full of ideas. I'm so sorry to hear of her untimely death.

I feel incredibly sad about the loss of Elizabeth. She was a brilliant colleague and wonderful mentor to me. I am so grateful that I got to work with her closely since I started my post at UCL in 2019- we collaborated on grants and shared a leadership position. Elizabeth was incredibly smart, creative, innovative, kind, caring, had a great sense of humour and the ability to make sense of the things that did not make sense. She had great integrity and has taught me to follow my passions and to stand by my beliefs. I miss her tremendously and it is difficult to imagine PCPH at UCL and academic primary care more generally without her. She truly is one of a kind! Losing someone so early is hard and my thoughts are with Debby and the rest of the family. Patricia xx

Sadness and shock at the loss of such a close colleague. Elizabeth and I worked at UCL from the time she started at UCL as a lecturer. She was a person of great integrity who always stood by what she believed in. It is difficult to imagine Primary Care and UCL without her. Special thoughts are with Debby at this very difficult time. Loss is never easy to endure !

As a GP new to teaching and research, I was my good fortune to have Elizabeth as my mentor. I worked with Elizabeth for several years in Lonsdale Rd Surgery and at UCL. She was wonderfully innovative and made so many things happen. She was thoughtful and kind. She really was an inspiration. May she rest in peace.

I have known Elizabeth since 2005 when she took me under her wing as a young GP. She taught me to write, get funding, and do presentations. In short, she added much to my work as a doctor, teacher and researcher. She was a wonderful person and had a great sense of humour. She loved her London flat and we shared many stories of the cat and her many and varied friends across the Globe. I am sad that other than a few emails I did not get to see her or talk to her much in the final years. I am glad that she moved out of London and had happy times with Debby. The annual emails were always full of lovely stories and pictures. I miss my colleague and friend. I miss her smile and her kindnesses (both small and large). I miss her....

Elizabeth was an incredible scholar with a very sharp mind. I had the honour and privilege of collaborating with Elizabeth on a few papers emanating from my Ph.D. and I learned so much from her. She also sent me a lovely email when I passed my viva and this gave me such confidence in my abilities that someone as great as Elizabeth thought so highly of my work. A huge loss, may she rest in peace.

Elizabeth is a much missed colleague and friend - we will miss her sharp mind, tenacity and enthusiasm for a good idea
